Readership research is the number of people who read particular newspaper.
The issue I will raise in readership research is deference between circulation and readership. According to Mr. Baty he said “it is valid question and in general you do expect them to move in the some direction” this issues need much research because the fact that readership does not equal circulation is confusing to many prospective advertisers and you may find competitive publications taking advantage of that misunderstanding to look bigger than they really are. I want to know if many read particular newspaper why circulation is lower level.

Readership research is among the research types within print media which aims on studies about readers themselves on how they tend to read a particular content of a certain newspaper for example on how many people tend to read mwananchi newspaper or uwazi.
It involves different categories for instance, reader profile on readers themselves, item selection studies, reader and non-reader profile, uses and gratification studies and the editorial reader comparison study.
Another issue on readership research is the behavioral change where through readership levels, people of the same area, age and status involve different readership capacity. Dominick (2000) media research.

Issues arising are such as content; here the reader will majorly focus on the content of the material and the content is what keeps the reader on the material he/she wants to read.
Interest; the interest of the reader is very crucial for the research. What makes the people to read the gazette is what I will focus on.
Age; what age likes entertainment and what age like serious news is very crucial for my research.
Gender; what does normally give interest to the male and female gender and focus on that as it can influence them to read..
